Berries Raspberry Vintage

Raspberry

Vintage:  Vintage raspberry is a great addition to your raspberry patch to extend your harvest season. Raspberries are self pollinating so do not need a second plant but you can plant with Heritage to have a variety of berries through the season. Vintage ripens earlier than Heritage and can continue to produce into fall. Vintage has a brighter, more round fruit than Heritage, who’s berries are a darker red. Both varieties are tasty and beautiful. Prune canes in early spring and watch the fruit ripen on the ends of new canes from summer into fall.

Description

Raspberry

Raspberries are one of the most popular berries in North America, and one raspberry bush can produce several hundred berries per season. Raspberries are a shrub belonging to the Rosaceae family, in the genus Rubus. Not only are raspberries perfect for picking and eating straight off the stem, but they’re also wonderful in jams, pies and tarts or smoothies and drinks. Plus, fresh raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin-C to support the immune system and helps fight infections.
