A little known native from the short grass prairies of the western Great Plains, Calylophus, or Texas Primrose, blooms most of the summer with a profusion of bright yellow flowers. This is a tough colorful species that gently re-seeds itself when happy. Drought resistant/drought tolerant plant. A heavy bloomer from late spring through the summer, this tough plant will be the star of your xeriscape. This is an excellent rock garden plant.
