TRANSPLANT TEAM LEAD

This position will start in January 2019

Moss Greenhouses is now accepting applications for the position of Transplant Team Lead. The Transplant Team Lead will lead the transplanting team in the day to day activities of the transplanting department including but not limited to:

  • Production Line schedules
  • Setting up training protocols
  • Maintaining established transplanting benchmarks
  • Ensuring that all equipment is running safe and effectively
  • Working within budgeted department parameters
  • Maintaining quality transplant output
  • Great communication and team building skills

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years’ experience working in the transplant department or 4 years of supervisory position in a manufacturing company.

SECTION GROWER

This position will start in January 2019

Moss Greenhouses is now accepting applications for the position of Section Grower. The Section Grower will be responsible for the growing of quality bedding plants at our Canyon Bloomers location including hanging Baskets and patio containers. When not at the Canyon Bloomers facility the Section Grower will carry out work assignments at our Jerome, ID facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Applying chemicals and fertilizer as directed.
  • Effectively water bedding plants and hanging baskets using automation when available.
  • Effectively scout for insects and maintain IPM (Integrated pest Management) standards.
  • Monitor crops for disease.
  • Accurately maintains crop logs.
  • Keeps area of responsibility clean of weeds and debris.
  • Great communication and team building skills.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years’ experience working in a greenhouse growing bedding plants, perennials, or hanging baskets.
