Euphorbia Diamond Frost®

Euphorbia  you-FOR-bee-uh

Proven Winners Diamond Frost®:  Diamond Frost Euphorbia has airy white flowers with green leaves. It can be used as a cut flower in flower arrangements instead of Baby’s Breath. The plant is drought and heat resistant. There is no need to deadhead this plant as the spent blooms simply fall off. This plant has a white, milky, sap that is irritating to the skin. Be sure and wear gloves when handling it. This plant’s mounded growth works as a filler in a container and the white flowers go with any color blooms in a mixed container. Deer and rabbits do not like the sap either and avoid the plant when they can.

Euphorbia Diamond Frost®

Description

Euphorbia  you-FOR-bee-uh

Euphorbia is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the spurge family (Euphorbiaceae). Euphorbia is one of the largest genera of flowering plants with over 2,000 types ranging from small annual plants to large, long-living perennial trees to deciduous shrubs. Euphorbia plants are deer-resistant, resilient, and easy to grow in a wide range of hardiness zones. Known for having colorful foliage and unique flower structures called cyathiums, euphorbia plants make great additions to flower beds and rock gardens. While most euphorbias are perennial, the Diamond® series are hybrid annuals that produce airy clouds of tiny white flower bracts above the attractive green lance-shaped foliage. This unique, award-winning variety, which reaches 12 to 18 inches tall and wide, blooms nonstop from planting until frost. Wear gloves when handling euphorbias, and quickly wash off any milky sap that gets on your skin, as it’s a strong irritant.
