Oxalis (Shamrock) aak-SAH-lis
Oxalis is the scientific term for Wood sorrel plants that are commonly found in tropical Brazil, Mexico and South Africa. It has shamrock-shaped leaves, graced with dainty blush-white flowers. The flowers bloom mid spring through late summer, appearing through the foliage. Oxalis makes a great presentation in shady areas but is also adaptable as a houseplant for year-round enjoyment. This easy-care, drought tolerant annual grows best in part sun to shade, forming a mound. Oxalis will grow 6 to 16 inches tall and spread 10 to 12 inches wide. Add Oxalis for beautiful appeal in the landscape, combination pots or hanging baskets!
